Vinaigrette Success

Prepared my first ever vinaigrette this evening to great acclaim. I do a little dance around my kitchen when things work very well. Never really attempted cuisine on any level before. Does it ever enhance the flavour of things when a good vinaigrette is prepared properly. I cursed Martha Stewart to all asunder the other night after overcooking some vegetables prepared exactly how her cookbook dictates. Turns out I have a fast stove or a hot stove or whatever you call it. You either cook things for shorter periods or keep a closer eye on them so you don't burn them to ratshit, apparently.
