More Korea

First photo is a typical restaurant front window. Second photo is a jazz club I walked by. They don't have room the change their minds. Really good musicians.

A Day At Temple

I spent the better part of this afternoon at a Buddhist temple in central Seoul. Me, some monks, and about eighty very devout Buddhists. The chanting has a very interesting effect. All the voices rising and falling together is beautiful.

Korea Neon

Demon Beast

I am dog sitting Cujo here while a woman I work with is off to China for five days with 'the girls'. Don't let the endearing permanent overbite or the poofy tale fool you. He's a hound of hell. Actually, the least predatory/ alpha animal I have ever observed. I can't retain his Korean name so just call him Freakshow. He responds to it.

Wreck Beach

This photo was taken at Wreck Beach in Vancouver. It is the last photo I took before I left Canada.

Bad Situation Ends

Recently left Japan. Again. My employer didn't pay me for training. Didn't pay me for a teacher's conference I attended for two days. Had me doing work related duties for 9 days in a row immediately after arriving in Japan, half catatonic with jet lag. We went straight to the school from the airport with my bags still in the trunk of the vehicle that picked me up. They tried to get me to stay with the owner of the school for the first week I was in Japan. When I refused they put me up in this absolute shithole hotel with trucks roaring past starting at 4:30 in the morning. Told me I was working 5 days a week, then changed it to 6 days a week after I arrived, 6th day without pay. Told me I had a few weeks off in August as part of the Japanese national holiday. Then my school franchise owner tried to tell me I was working for that two weeks without extra pay, while other employees at the same company had the two weeks off. The list goes on. Some other much more serious circumstances were developing but those details are better left unsaid. I know one thing with complete certainty. That is the last time I will ever work in Japan.
