More Korea Photos
I spent yesterday wandering areas of Seoul. Took these photos. Spent today at a Zen Buddhist place lining my mojo up properly. At one point there was a very large Asian insect buzzing in the back of the temple where we were all meditating. These bugs are huge. I was sitting right in the middle of the room for the meditation session. I had visions of the bug landing on my head or something and me losing it with all these people trying to concentrate around me. It was a good distraction to get around and focus my energies. This Buddhist place is fantastic.

Dog Meat
Went exploring around Seoul yesterday. Walked for hours and hours. Ended up in a huge market area, watching the people enjoy haggling with one another for various products. Took a different way back to where I started and stumbled into the area where they sell, keep, butcher, and cook dogs. Row upon row of cages filled with dogs for sale for food. They had cooked dogs up on counters. They had partially and fully butchered dogs on tables where the nice juicy meat could be inspected. I almost grabbed one little golden lab and ran.

'Get Some'
I sat at a Seoul cafe this evening taking in the sights and sounds. Korean women who lunch sipped their hot drinks at the next table. The wind was very warm. Rain a comin'. Rainy season. A saxy Dire Straights song played perfectly into my circumstances over the patio speakers;
'Don't know how it happened
It all took place so quick
But all I can do
Is hand it to you
And your latest trick...'
I recently started a short story called 'Get Some.' I have a feeling it may grow into a novel. It has it all. Armed robbery perfectly planned. Betrayal. Soft drug use. Promiscuity. Twists and turns of the competing intuitions of the players and their fading allegiances.
