83981 6824

That's my business number above. I started a bidness. Funny, funny, funny, that I have registered a bidness and am in the process of incorporation said bidness for tax and liability purposes. I... have... an... idea...

Monday Hike

Went for my first hike here in Whistler today. Took these photos. This is just what I can get at within quick walking distance of my place.
Long haul truck driving, like 1500 other employment pursuits before it, has gone tits up. It absolutely and completely destroys your health in every way. My employer was also having me drive in excess of the legal allowable time. I really don't care about pushing things a little bit. In Canada if you get into an accident in that situation you are legally impaired. You might as well have had 9 beers. They subpoena the satellite records for your truck. They can tell exactly how long you were behind the wheel. And you're going to prison if the accident is serious. See ya.
I start one job here in Whistler, my new home, tomorrow evening. I start another one on the 13th. Each of these jobs provides adequate income. Working both of them combined should create quite a decent little cash flow. The cheapest day of heli-skiing up here costs $800. Lunch included.

My Week

Went to Calgary and Edmonton after going to Prince George and Williams Lake. Took these photos. Not the greatest. Black and white would do a few of them justice. The one of the door in Prince George is to a Fight Club they have there.

Dear Moments

While in Prince George, BC a few weeks ago I was walking along the highway at night when two deer walked out of the woods on a hill above me. Scared the hell out of me. They quickly walked back into the forest.
While at a brake check in the interior of BC the other day I was drawn away from my vehicle into the forest for some reason. I walked a short distance up what I assume was a logging road. The silence in that area is remarkable. A large doe stepped out of the forest about 30 metres ahead of me. This time I stood and shared a moment with the animal. We stood looking at one another in the silence for a very long time. She proceeded to graze. I eventually went back to my vehicle.

I am currently in Prince George, BC once again after spending last night in Williams Lake, BC. The men are men up here. Very rough little city.

They breed horses at a lot of farms in the central part of BC. One ranch breeds specifically black Arabian purebreds. I have never seen more exquisite animals in my life.

More Photos

Mountain photos from BC interior on my way back to Vancouver from Toronto. Night photos from Richmond night market last night. I anticipated the market being much larger than it was. Still an interesting way to spend an evening. Great food.
