Bowl Ski

Went out to ski again last Monday. Had my first bowl ski experience here. When I reached the peak of Blackcomb I saw a short line of people hiking up further onto the mountain with their skis and boards slung over their shoulders. Decided to follow them over the crest to see what the fuss was about. Very challenging terrain over in the bowls. The photos don't do it justice.

My Day

Woke up this morning. Went out for a smoke. First thing I saw outside was two eagles looking down at me from a tree on the property. Decided to go for a ski. Took the photos in this post and previous post while on the hill today. Things could be worse.

World Cup

I had contact with some athletes and officials who were involved in a world cup ski race here in Whistler today. The visually impaired skiers are the bravest people I've ever watched. I wouldn't even consider running the hill they raced on at anywhere near the speeds they were going. And they were doing it literally blind. They have someone go behind them as they race and guide them through things. Incredible speeds. I also had direct contact with some other athletes who were victorious in the races. They still had their trophies in their hands. I have never in my life seen joy like I saw on those athlete's faces as they went around carrying their world cup trophy. Whistler has many faces.

I AM INCORPORATED

Just formally founded a little corporation called Four Keys Media Inc. and registered it with the province. I name myself as the Director and the shares are common. It's official. I bought www.4keys.ca beforehand. I also bought www.PlanetWhistler.com and am making designing that site the first corporate priority here at the offices of Four Keys Media Inc. I start a part-time web design course in Vancouver next month. Instead of paying someone else to design the sites I have ideas for I'll just develop the skills and do it myself. The logo for PlanetWhistler.com is posted here. It's raw but I have no formal training in this yet. If you have some money you need to clean, give the office a call and we'll see what we can do.

Ski Day

Spent the day skiing Whistler/ Blackcomb today. Took these photos. Felt like spring skiing as the temperature rose in the afternoon.
